Lake Baikal is completely frozen from the beginning of February to the end of March. The best qulity of the frozen Ice is in the first two weeks of February.
Itenerary
Day 1. Fly from Bangkok to Irkutsk.
Flight takes about 7 hours. After customs in the airport you will meet with local guide, who will take you to the hotel for check in and money exchange. There is a 24/7 supermarket and few restaurants around the hotel in walking distance.
Day 2. Road to Olkhon Island the Heart of Lake Baikal.
AM 8:30-9:30 Public bus will pick you up at your hotel in Irkutsk city.
AM 12:00 Lunch at the road cafe. (500-1000 RUB per person)
PM 3:00 Ferry to Olkhon Island. Follow instructions from the bus driver. The ferry is free of charge and is operating from May 1 to December 31.
PM 4:00 Arrival to LADA hotel and check in.
PM 5:00 Village tour with local guide. Cape Burkhan, old Fish factory, the shore of Lake Baikal.
PM 7:00 Dinner at LADA cafe.
Day 3. Off road adventure to Lake Baikal.
Transportation UAZ Bukhanka minivan or GAZ Sobol minivan
AM 8:00 Breakfast at LADA cafe.
AM 10:00 Departure from LADA hotel

PM 4:00 Return to LADA hotel.

Dinner at the restaurant of your choice: Georgian, Russian, Italian, Korean and Chinese. Shopping mall is open until PM 10:00
Day 5. Fly back to Thailand.
The guide will take you to the airport.
